Co-FounderHello! I'm Tam Nguyen, a Vietnamese-Canadian mother passionate about nurturing cultural connections in our community. As co-founder of VKids Connect, I help create monthly cultural events where Vietnamese-Canadian children in Calgary can celebrate their heritage while embracing their Canadian identity. Our programs bring families together through interactive celebrations of Vietnamese language, traditions, and culture.
Drawing from my experience as both a non-profit leader and founder of VietCan Books, a bilingual children's literature business, I understand the impact that community-focused initiatives on young lives. I invite parents, organizations, and supporters to join us in building stronger cultural foundations for our children. Together, we can create lasting positive change in our community.
Personal Business:
Vietcan Books promotes the vision to empower parents and children to be proud of their culture, heritage and language, while being kind, strong, and empathic people who embrace cultural diversity and inclusion. VietCan Online Bilingual Bookstore serves as a central hub to provide Vietnamese bilingual books and learning resources to teach children Vietnamese to retain a multilingual environment at home.
