VolunteerHello, my name is Kristy Vuong, and I am privileged to contribute as both a volunteer and sponsor with VKids Connect. With over 5 years of experience in early childhood education in Canada, I am deeply passionate about supporting the growth and development of children while fostering a strong connection to their cultural roots.
I understand the critical importance of preserving the mother tongue and cultural identity for children growing up in a multicultural environment. Maintaining their Vietnamese language and heritage not only helps them stay connected to their roots but also instills a sense of pride and belonging in their identity. Currently, I work in the import/export and food distribution industry, where I focus on bridging cultures by introducing Vietnamese products to diverse markets. This work has given me a profound appreciation for the importance of preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
Through volunteering with VKids Connect, I hope to see children not only preserve their cultural traditions but also engage in meaningful activities that strengthen their bond with Vietnamese heritage.
