Hi, I'm Quang Hoang, a newcomer to Calgary from Vietnam with roots in farming. At 12 years old, I started helping my family manage our pig farm and feed production factory, learning the value of hard work and family. I later learned a wealth of practical knowledge as a veterinarian.

As well, my decade of Taekwondo training and teaching children taught me discipline, confidence, and the importance of community.

As a VKids Connect volunteer, I'm passionate about bridging generations. Our monthly events create spaces where Vietnamese-Canadian children can explore their heritage, build stronger family connections, and develop a deep sense of cultural pride. We're not just preserving traditions—we're nurturing empathetic, confident young individuals who understand the richness of their dual identities.
